What is Black Hat SEO

Black Hat SEO is normally defined as techniques that are being used in order to rank higher on different search engines using prohibted tactics and ways. This is considered as unethical SEO. Black Hat SEO is more frequently used by those who are looking for a quick financial return on their Web site, rather than a long-term investment on their Web site

A black hat SEO uses grey shaded techniques and does not abide by the rules and regulations of search engines. Some of the unethical techniques used by a Black Hat SEO are

1. Invisible Text - It is usually done by setting up text’s font colour same as to its background to make them hidden. It is done to attract more search engine spiders. However, it is not a good way of attracting search engine crawlers and search engine users.

2.  Keyword Stuffing - By using a long list of keywords which are not even on your website content will lead your site to be penalized by search engines. The keywords you will use should go with what is encapsulated on your web page content. They should be relevant and coherent.

3. Doorway pages. A doorway page is a page built specifically for the purpose of ranking well in the search engines and without any real content of its own, and which then links to the "real" destination page, or automatically redirects there. Doorway pages are a popular choice of some SEO firms, although Google has cracked down on this and many webmasters saw their pages disappear from the index. Some SEO firms call their doorway pages something else, in an effort to fool potential customers who know enough to know that they should avoid doorway pages. But a doorway page is still a doorway page even if you call it something else.

Black Hat SEO improves search engine rankings by strategies considered to be spammy by search engines.Black hat methods adopt unethical methods to redirect visitors into their websites. Black hat techniques are easy to implement and therefore work in a swift manner. When caught by search engines the that site can be downgraded or in extreme cases thrown out.
